Creative Wall Designs

This client requested we update boring maple cabinets that were in excellent condition but were sadly lacking character & style.  In a couple days the makeover was complete adding old world charm and elegance fitting of the rest of this fine home.

The project begins with a sample inspired by the rooms existing wall color as seen on the right hand side of the sample above.  The frame sample as well as the cabinet sample are base painted the same room color green.  Then the magic happens, we faux paint the cabinets in rich antique tones giving them sophisticated old world charm.  In this case, warm brown tones for the cabinets and charcoal tones for the mirror creating logical contrast that looks fabulous!

Cabinets must be in good working condition and made of solid wood, no melamine or pressed wood materials as these surfaces are less likely to produce the desired look of old antique furniture.

On this particular project, we created a complimentary mirror frame which was base painted the same color green then antiqued in charcoal tones for contrast. 

*There are some limitations associated with framing existing mirrors, not all mirrors will be subtable for framing, to be determined at time of consultation.

* Colors shown vary depending on various factors - the rooms lighting, a flash from the camera, etc.  We strive to make certain that the frames, doors and all boards match but have worn character typical of an antique piece of furniture.  All match but no two are alike.

Options include updating the existing hardware to match your new finish or installing new hardware prior to re-installation of the cabinet doors upon completion.
